DIALOGUE projectTuesday 09 February 2010 | Administrator MiM Sharing aims and approaches, the MIM and the DIALOGUE projects work on different geographical level - national vs local - and with different kind of media - PSBs vs local press, radio and TV.The DIALOGUE between new citizens project, funded in the frame Fundamental Rights and Citizenship Programme, is developed on the same line of the MIM – Migrants in the Media project: journalists and NGOs working in parallel to improve the portrayal of immigrant populations in the media and to promote more intercultural competencies amongst media professionals and within media outlets.
Sharing aims and approaches, the MIM and the DIALOGUE projects work on different geographical level and with different kind of media. The DIALOGUE project, promoted by the Municipality of Sassuolo (Italy) in cooperation with ANEHR – Development Agency of Heraklion (Crete, Greece) and with AFIENS – Foundation for training, research and studies (Sevilla, Spain) involves journalists and other professionals from local media outlets (radio, TV and press) and representatives of minority/immigrants organisations and councils in Italy, Spain and Greece. Representatives of the MIM and the DIALOGUE projects are already in touch to developing exchanges of information, trainers and good practices; the DIALOGUE project started officially in June 2009 and the launching event took place on 6 October 2009 in Italy. More information on the DIALGUE project will follow. Serie:
